Although we had no car in Seattle, we nevertheless had an exciting Labor Day weekend. Dad's supervisor at Children's Hospital had a house by the lake (just like our bishop, only she was further south than him), and she invited us to come kayaking. None of us had ever been before, but it sounded fun, and it was only about a mile from where we lived. So, we loaded up Amanda in the stroller and had an adventure. Mom enjoyed it a lot, Dad thought it was all right, and Amanda liked it best when the kayak was on the dock.
