Back to school for preschool part three

Tomorrow Amanda will be going back to her beloved preschool for the third year. She has had quite a summer, including not one but two trips to Uncle Mike's house. After her most recent trip, she told us that she is best friends with their dog, Heidi. Amanda likes to do puzzles, play games with small pieces, dance, sing, and play with girly toys like her "big dollies" (American Girls dolls), her ponies, and her Barbies. However, she also plays soccer and likes to jump on the trampoline in a nearby yard with the boys whose family owns the trampoline, and most of her playdates are with families with boys rather than girls near her age. All in all, a fairly well balanced kid. Smart, too; today she used the word fragile and a grown up overhearing her asked her if she knew what that word meant. After Amanda gave an extremely appropriate definition, the grown up concluded that Amanda did indeed know the word. So, what's she going to do in preschool? She is looking forward to the socializing, and we are hoping she will do better with writing; her maternal grandfather will confirm that her mother is ill qualified to instruct anyone in the art of handwriting. ;) Mayhap there will be pictures from her preschool to post one of these days.
